Lagos Galaxy Club was founded in December 1985. The Club's Constitution describes it as a coming together of people with common interests, views and purposes.
The Constitution also describes the Club as a social, philanthropic club whose activities include social and educational activities and the promotion of fellowship, co-operation and exchange of ideas with appropriate persons and organisations.
The Club is dedicated to the principles of unity and harmony, with a commitment to promoting peace, co-operation and better understanding.

We are an association built around common interests, friendship, unity, harmony and the shared desire to promote peace, co-operation and better understanding.
To promote peace, co-operation and better understanding among members, protect members' interests, encourage mutual interaction and work towards the progress and development of members.
To build a united, stable and progressive Club where members live in harmony, support one another and work collectively for the continued development of the Club and its members.
Membership and Club affairs are governed by the Constitution. The Club promotes fellowship, participation in activities and commitment to the responsibilities of membership.
The Constitution provides for the administration of the Club through the Executive Council, the House and Ad-Hoc Committees, with defined responsibilities for its principal officers.
